David West and T.J Warren supervise Basketball Clinic in Ghana

Golden State Warriors power forward David West and Pheonix Suns small forward T.J warren headlined a basketball camp in Ghana.

The two NBA superstars were at the event to dictate the pace in the first ever All Access Africa Basketball Clinic.

The day started with the two astute NBA players accompanied by their entourage of coaches leading them in a warm up session.

After the session, there was break in play to allow  youngsters also be taken  through some physical drills, as well as techniques in shooting and passing.

This session of physicals was largely supervised by David West and the technique drills were done by Anthony Warren alongside an array of experts which included the currently retired Pops Mensah Bonsu, formally of the Houston Rockets.

David West had this to say about youngsters in Africa who aspired to be like those in the NBA, advising that: “If you have a dream go for it. If you want to play basketball, you have to work hard and learn lessons and seek to apply lessons each and every single day."

The All Access Africa Basketball Clinic is a basketball camp powered by global energy Company Zoetic Energy which organizes camps to mentor and drill basketball talents across Africa.

Its maiden edition, which was held in Ghana, was described as beyond a success, according to the Founder and Chairman of Zoetic Energy, Jerome Ringo.

“It went far beyond my expectation, the energy, excitement and the reception of teaching from coaches about skills and life lessons is what we are excited about. I It is easier to teach those who want to be teach and this young people foot the bill,” he said.

The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuagon, Honourble,Emmanuel Agyarko, was present at the occasion, and he encouraged the young ones present to make the best out of opportunities durinh his address.

Honourable Agyarko went on to thank all those who supported the event.

The All Access Basketball Clinic was supported by the Ghana Basketball Association, African Union, Joy News, Kempinski Hotel, Yummy Noodles, Veriown and Stanbic Bank.
