Bastie Samir fans attacked at Bukom after boxing victory

The U.S Ghanaian boxer knocked out Bukom Banku on Saturday in round 7

Bastie dominated Banku from round three to the seventh round when he finally knocked him out at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

Bastie’s fans took to the streets of Bukom to celebrate the victory to the annoyance of Brimah Kamoko’s fans and they had to react by harassing the fans of the winner of the bout according to a report by Joy FM, who had a reporter on the grounds.

Maxwell Agbagba, the Joy FM reporter spoke with some of the victims of the attack by Bukom Banku fans.

“I have been interacting with a gentleman whose makeshift shop where he sells mobile phone credits was destroyed and some of the community members are saying the people who were attacked were fans of Bastie Samir,” Maxwell said.

Maxwell added that he and his cameraman were prevented from leaving the place with pictures and footages of the scene, since it was seized and they were deleted by a man claiming he is the leader of the community

“They warned us not to return to the community to report about what happened,” Maxwell said.

It also appears that many of the community members had been warned against speaking to the media about the fight.

“At the Bukom Park we met about 20 gentlemen who were watching a game of football and they told me they just don’t want to comment on the fight that happened on Saturday, otherwise they will get into trouble,” Maxwell recounted.
