Sports Ministry to find other alternatives of raising money

The PRO of the Sports Ministry states that the budget reduction is a problem that can be fixed by his outfit.

In speaking to Radio XYZ, Elvis Adjei Baah gave a breakdown of the budgetary allocation for the last three years and state what the ministry aims at doing with the current situation.

“In 2016, the ministry got a budget allocation for over 22 million, 2017 had it increased to over 46 million and in 2018 we have it reduced to over 32 million.

“With these figures there has been a reduction but it is still an increment with regards to the 2016 budget.

“It is definitely a challenge but that is where we find ourselves now. We have initiated moves to get other sources of funding to ensure that the shortfalls of the reduced budget will be met.

“The reduction indeed has come as a challenge but that is not surmountable”.
