Baba Rahman has a mission at Schalke and nothing will stop him

Black Stars player Abdul Baba Rahman has his eyes on Europe as he seeks to make an impact during his long-term loan deal at Schalke 04

Chelsea was a perfect stage to shine having watched international teammate Michael Essien make his name at the London club. But sometimes, some things are just not meant to be.

So, after a few tries to get into the starting lineup for Chelsea, injuries and loss of favour with the fans, the Black Stars player finds himself at German Bundesliga club Schalke 04.

The goal for this stint at Schalke according to Baba Rahman is to be playing in Europe, back with the big boys in the game.

“Next year I want us to be playing in Europe. It’s also it’s my dream to play in the DFB-Pokal final. This year, we still have the semi to play and I’m sure Frankfurt will be strong opponent but I’m hoping that we will be able to bag ourselves a place in the final,” Baba Rahman says.

The 23-year-old who had struggled with injuring in months heading to his transfer talks about how he feels now. Thankfully, Baba is not hurting anymore.

“No, thankfully not. It doesn’t hurt me anymore and even mentally it doesn’t affect me,” the Black Stars defender reveals when asked about his injury problems.

Not taking his eyes off Schalke’s games has made the Chelsea player on loan in Germany feel at home. A home where he instantly found a place to live because he never let go of his residence when he was there earlier.
