Africa's top scoring footballer at a FIFA World Cup has played for a host of clubs during his football career.

Asamoah Gyan played in the 2003 Ghana Premier with Liberty Professionals.
Asamoah Gyan left the shores of Ghana before after playing in the 2004 Coca Cola Top four tournament.
Gyan when he got to Italy was sent to Modena on loan for two seasons. He scored 15 goals out of 53 appearances.

Gyan then returned to Udinese where he almost got transferred to Lokomotiv Moscow but that did not pull through.
He then stayed in Udinese for two more season s 11 in 39 appearances for the club.
Gyan later got transferred to France with Stade Rennes. The transfer cost the fee of €8 million. Gyan’s best season with the French outfit was his second season with the club where he scored 13 goals in the 2009/2010 Ligue 1 season.
Asamoah Gyan went off to the 2010 World Cup. Asamoah Gyan after a dazzling tournament in South Africa despite breaking the hearts of Ghanaians with a spot kick ended up with Sunderland.
Gyan played a season in the English Premier League where he scored 10 goals which include memorable goals against Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
Asamoah Gyan moved on to Al-Ain on loan in September 2011 before securing a permanent deal with a club a year after.
Gyan after four season in the UAE found himself in China with Shangai SIPG. Asamaoh Gyan landed a two year deal which was to see him land £227,000.
Gyan’s first season in China was hit with series of injuries and in the next year he was sent back to the UAE on loan to Al Ahli.
Asamoah Gyan is currently with Kayserispor and earns around €1.5 million euros annually.
