The 34-year-old ended his 10-year marriage with Henrietta, after his wife accused of cheating and shirking his responsibilities.
The couple subsequently filed for a divorce in court after failing to resolve their marriage issues.
The divorce between Mensah and Henrietta was finally granted in 2014 by an Accra High Court following protracted meetings with the pair.
Initial reports suggested that the separation of the couple affected Mensah the most, with sections of the public linking the divorce to his faltering football career.
However, the former Lyon defender is of a different view, insisting his separation from Henrietta actually made him stronger.
In an interview with Joy Sports, Mensah, who has since married a new wife, said: “…Thedivorcedidn’t break me down, itmademe a betterperson.
