New York Red Bulls defender, Gideon Baah, became the latest Ghanaian player to meet Kwesi Appiah, after the Black Stars coach visited him in training.

Appiah has been on a working visit to the United States (US) for the past three weeks, and has already visited a number of Ghanaian players plying their trade in the country.

The Black Stars coach was in attendance when Latif Blessing and his Sporting Kansas City side beat FC Dallas 3-0 in the quarterfinal of the US Open Cup, with the former Liberty Professionals playmaker grabbing a brace.

The ex-Al Khartoum boss followed that up with a visit to the camp of DC United, where he met up with Patrick Nyarko, Lloyd Sam, Kofi Opare and Chris Odoi, before again watching Jordan Ayew as Swansea City faced Philly Union in a pre-season friendly.

Appiah’s monitoring has now led him to the training grounds of New York Red Bulls, where he met up with defender Gideon Baah.

The left-back has struggled with injuries in recent times, and it is believed that the Black Stars coach was there to hold talks concerning his current fitness.

Ghana has a number of players playing in the Major League Soccer (MLS), as well as the second tier of American football, with the likes of David Accam, Mohammed Abu and Jonathan Mensah all earning call-ups for the Black Stars’ latest friendlies against the USA and Mexico.
