The captain of the Ghana Black Starlets captain Eric Ayiah has failed to make the three man shortlist for the African Youth Player.
The 16-year-old had a fantastic tournament at the u-17 African Cup of Nations in Gabon and on that regard made it to the final 5 poised for the award which was announced in Late November, 2017.
However, the list has been pruned down to three and Eric Ayiah finds himself out of that mix.

The three nominees who made it for the Youth Africa Player of the Year were Krepin Diatta from Senegal, Patson Daka of Zambia and Salam Giddou of Mali.
Kreppin Diatta played for Senegal in the u-20 world cup. Patson Daka did same for Zambia and scored four goals at the u-20 African Cup of Nations which saw him emerge the best player at the tournament.
Giddou had a great outing at the u-17 World Cup for Mali as he scored a goal and made 3 assists in India.
