Kotoko had their match day 24 against West African Football Academy (WAFA) postponed indefinitely to enable the Kumasi giants recover adequately following the road accident that hit the visitors when returning from a league game against Inter Allies five weeks ago.

The Porcupine Warriors last season suffered a 0-2 defeat to WAFA at Sogakope on the opening day of the league, so they would tread cautiously this term.

WAFA have made their home grounds a fortress, having remained undefeated since they lost on match day two against Ashanti Gold in the 2014-15 season. Just this season they handed Accra Hearts 5-0 defeat, which is their record loss in the league.

WAFA is second on the log sheet with 43 points. trailing league Aduana Stars by one point,  whereas,  Asante Kotoko are fourth on the league log sheet with 36 points.

WAFA have lost two key players moving into this clash, goalkeeper, Razak Abalora and Majeed Ashimeru, who have contracts overseas, hence might not possess the same firepower when they take on Asante Kotoko.
