The Academy Boys totally annihilated the 18-time league champions in their week 17 clash in Sogakope.

First-half goals from Majeed Ashimeru and Abdul Wahab set the tone for a historic afternoon, with Daniel Lomotey (two goals) and Ibrahim Abukari rounding up the 5-0 scoreline.

The result represented the worst-ever defeat for Hearts of Oak in the league.

Rasmussen was delighted with the display of the Academy Boys, insisting they could have put ten goals past the Phobians.

“The preparation was good, the players understood the team tactics and they did very well,” the Danish coach is quoted as saying by Starrsportsgh.com.“I’m not surprised. Yes, the amount of goals looks surprising but if you watched the game, it could have been 10.“It was not an easy game; it was a very high level of performance from the boys.
