Andre Ayew returns from injury for West Ham United

The €20 million man has been declared fit for this weekend’s fixture against Leicester City where his international teammate Daniel Amartey plays.

The Hammers will face Leicester City in the Premier League on Friday, looking to quickly get out of the relegation zone.

David Moyes’ men have endured a disappointing start to the season, leading to the sack of erstwhile manager Slaven Bilic.

The club has also been beset by a number of injuries, with the likes of Javier ‘Chicarito’ Hernandez, James Collins and Michail Antonio all ruled out of the clash with the Foxes.

West Ham, though, can take delight in the fact that Ayew

The 27-year-old has not really impressed this season, but has chipped in with important goals to rescue the club in certain difficult moments this season.

Moyes confirmed the deputy Black Stars skipper’s return while addressing the press, saying: “Andre Ayew was out with illness.

"His wasn’t so bad but he has taken a couple of days to find his feet after.

"He’s back in amongst us too, which is good.”

West Ham United currently sit in 18th position on the Premier League log, four points behind Leicester City are on 12th position.
