Black Stars coach: I am 'perching' a friend

Kwesi Appiah is yet to be provided an accomodation by the state.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the Ministry of Works and Housing have now secured a permanent accomodation for the the Black Stars coach, but it is under renovation

Appiah's revelation has come in the wake of a whopping GHC 36,000 cost incurred by the state on hotels for the previous Black Stars coaches.

In an interview with the media, after the CAF’s unveiling of the final nominees for the 2017 African Player of the year, the former Black Stars skipper indicated that he is pleased with the effort the Sports Ministry has made to secure him a permanent accomodation, but added that he is yet to relocate from his friend's apartment where he has been living since assuming the job.

“It’s a good step to get a permanent resident for me because past coaches have resided in hotels which was not the best.

“I have assessed the house but it left for the Sports Ministry to prepare the place before I move in but for the meantime am staying at a friend’s place but he has held talks with the GFA and Sports Ministry and he has agreed to my stay until am ready to move out,” Appiah said in an interview.
