Exactly one year ago, Heart of Lions team was involved in a fatal accident

A year ago today, Heart of Lions team was involved in an accident in the Eastern Region.

Today marks exactly one year ago, Wednesday July 13th 2016, that players and officials of Heart of Lions were involved in an accident on their way for a Division one League game against King Solomon.

Nine players of the Kpando Heart of Lions suffered severe injuries and were admitted at the Mampong hospital in the Eastern region after their team bus was involved in an accident on the Koforidua-Mamfe road.

The team was traveling to Nkawkaw for their Division One league encounter with King Solomon Wednesday evening.

There were 27 players and officials on board the bus when the accident occurred.

Coincidentally, Asante Kotoko team bus was also involved in a fatal accident on Wednesday July 12th, 2017 when the team bus rammed into a stationary truck at Nkawkaw, several players sustaining severe injuries.

The accident claimed one life, Kotoko’s equipment officer Kofi Asare, however over eight players suffered various degree of injuries.

The big question is, what will happen on Wednesday, 11th July 2018?
