The accident claimed the life of the deputy Equipment Officer of the club, Thomas Kofi Asare and several others got injured in the process

Messages of love and encouragement have poured in across the Ghanaian populace. The latest to express sympathy to the Porcupines is former Black Stars captain, Abedi Ayew and his club Nania FC who dispatched a letter to Kotoko secretariat on Monday.

“We have learnt with deep sorrow the tragic accident involving Kumasi Asante Kotoko on their way back to Kumasi following their 22nd Premier League match against Inter Allies” said the letter signed by Abedi Ayew Pele.

“In this moment of grief, the Board and Management of Nania FC, wish to express our sincere compassion and solidarity with all those affected by this unfortunate occurrence, especially the family of the late Thomas Obeng Asare. We also wish those injured speedy recovery. May the almighty Allah strengthen us to overcome this tragedy” it added.
