Coach of Ashanti Gold, C.K. Akonnor has called on his players to build on the club’s recent win over league-leaders WAFA, as they aim to beat the drop.
The Miners recorded a 2-0 win over the Academy Boys on Sunday – a result that moved them out of the relegation zone.
And their coach believes it was important to record such a result, following two successive loses to Elmina Sharks and Liberty Professionals, while also challenging his players to build on that.

“I am happy with the result, the boys played very well and to have finally returned to winning ways having lost two games back to back is good for us," CK Akonnor said, as quoted by GhanaSoccernet.
"We have to build on this and try record impressive results going forward to keep our ambition of remaining in the league intact.
