Wife of the late Kotoko Equipment Officer Asare shares teary story of husband's death

Kofi Asare was the only person who was killed in the road accident Kotoko got involved on Wednesday

The Premier League Board Representative of the club Thomas Boakye-Agyemang has confirmed the news to the media.

“Got three ambulances to rush the driver, Polack and Ablordey to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Okwahu United gave their bus to us so we sent the injured players to KATH too,” Boakye-Agyemang noted.

“Our Assistant Equipment Officer Kofi Asare is however gone.”

The driver, Ablodey, the assistant coach and Polack, the head coach of the team are reportedly trapped in the bus and it appears one or two people on the bus have been killed by the accident, but yet to be confirmed.

Asante Kotoko were handed their first league defeat at In Inter Allies on Wednesday. They had won their last two league games, but were shocked by Inter Allies ahead of their clash against Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors might have their game against Hearts of Oak on Sunday postponed looking at the trauma the playing body and the technical team are going through on their return from a midweek clash.

According to an eyewitness the Kotoko team bus carrying the players and the technical team members ran into stationery car on the new Nkawkaw road, Nantia to be precise.
