Richard Ofori GOALKEEPER 5/10

He wasn't made busy by the Mexicans, but he was quick to close in on the them whenever they broke away on counter.

Harrison Afful FULL-BACK 4/10

The Columbus Crew didn't have the best of game and allowed the Mexicans to operate through the right side of Ghana's defence. Afful was substituted just some few minutes into the second half of the game.

Lumor Agbenyenu FULL BACK 6/10

The youngster lasted the entire minutes. He was very effective in supporting attack and sent dangerous balls into the 18-yard box of Mexico from his left full back position.

John Boye CENTER-BACK 5/10

The performance of the lanky defender on the day created mixed reaction. Although his partnership with Jonathan Mensah was effective, he would be blamed for the only conceded by Ghana for bringing down a player in the 18-yard box to commit a penalty. He was replaced by Rashid Sumaila in the second half.

Jonathan Mensah CENTER-BACK 6/10

Strong, towering and composed at the back. The Leicester City man formed a compact backline with Boye and his other marshals in the dynamic defensive formation. He initiated attack by sending balls to the midfield and when they needed an equaliser he had to resort to occasional overlapping.

Isaac Sackey CENTRAL MIDFIELDER 4/10

Played under pressure on his debut and he ended up giving away a lot of balls. Sackey was a pale shadow of himself which called for his substitution from the game in the early stage of the second.

Ebenezer Ofori CENTRAL MIDFIELDER 7/10

He marshalled the midfield by winning 50-50 balls and distributing the balls with high level of accuracy. He was one of the best performers on the field

Frank Acheampong ATTACKING MIDFIELDER 6.5/10

The Anderlecht attacking midfielder had a slow start to the game, but getting to the late minute he gave the Mexicans worrying moments with his speed and dribbles. Acheampong in one of those moves dribbled a defender in the 18-yard box but had his ball hit the side post in the late minute of the second half.

Thomas Agyapong ATTACKING MIDFIELDER 6/10

He made several moves along the flanks and in the first half he came close to scoring, but he had his shot saved by the Mexican goalie

Majeed Waris FORWARD 5/10

The Lorient striker search for form at the national team continued when he struggled to torment the Mexican and even wasted an opportunity that was presented to him.

Raphael Dwamena FORWARD 5/10

The attacker who scored a brace on his debut Black Stars game against Ethiopia in early June failed to replicate that same performance against Mexico. He fluffed about three chances that came his was way both in the first and second half. Dwamena however, got involved in the game by making a lot of runs to put pressure on the opponents.

Michael Abu CENTRAL MIDFIELD 3.5/10

He replaced Isaac Sackey in the second half yet his influence in the game wasn't all that felt

Rashid Sumaila FULL BACK 5/10

The former Sundowns defender in a make shift position as a right full back was effective in the game. He made several runs to edge his team on and even gave an incisive cross which found Asaoah Gyan, yet he had his header go wide.

Jerry Akaminko CENTRE BACK 4.5/10

Making his first appearance since he got injured in a warm-up game in 2014 while playing for Ghana, Akaminko came in with much enthusiasm and he formed a good central pair at the back with Jonathan Mensah.

David Accam FORWARD 3/10

The woes of Accam at the national team continued as he struggled to replicate his fabulous form at club level into the Black Stars. He chased his shadows during the few minutes he had the chance to prove a point.

Asamoah Gyan 3/10 FORWARD

He was introduced in the game when it was just six minutes to end the game. He should have given Ghana the equaliser, but he couldn't direct the ball at goal.
