David Accam’s Chicago Fire lost 3-2 to Latif Blessing’s Kansas City in the Major Soccer League on Saturday at Childrens Mercy Park.
Daniel Salloi started the scoring after he finished off perfectly through a solo run to give Kansas City the lead in the 23 minute and Matt Besler’s own goal brought Chicago Fire level some few minutes later.
Benny Feilhaber then put KC back in front with an overhead kick of a rebound on the stroke of half-time after goalkeeper Matt Lampson parried out Blessing's header.
Six minutes after the interval Latif Blessing registered his name on the scoresheet to make it 3-1 in favour of the hosts, before David Accam reduced the deficit for Chicago Fire by tapping in from close range.
