Hearts to report Kotoko to FIFA over Winful Cobinna advances

The Phobians are unhappy with advances being made by Kotoko towards their talismanic playmaker.

Hearts  of Oak have warned rivals Asante Kotoko to stay off playmaker Winful Cobinna or risk being reported to FIFA.

The Phobians are having a superb season in the Ghana Premier League and currently sit third with just a few more games to the end of the season.

Key to their form has been the influence of Winful Cobinna, who has often bailed them out from losing positions with his brilliance from midfield.

Reports in the local media had suggested that rivals Asante Kotoko were in contact with the player to engineer a move to the Kumasi-based club.

However, Hearts of Oak have responded strongly by warning their rivals to stay off the player or risk facing FIFA for unlawful approach.

Speaking in an interview with ATL FM in Cape Coast, Administrative Manager of Hearts, Hackman Aidoo said: "Winful Cobbina has contract with Hearts and he is still committed to the team so there is no way Hearts will sell him to any local club. As I’m talking to you now."There is a mouthwatering deal from U.S.A which we are still in negations so Kotoko must be very careful in their calculated attempt to obstruct the deal else Hearts will send them straight to FIFA for the federation to take them to the woodshed"

Cobinna is currently with the Black Stars B team playing in the WAFU Cup and is expected to start as the side take on Niger in the Semifinal later on Thursday.
