Albert Adomah on fire again as Aston Villa thump Burton Albion

Adomah has now scored for the third game running in all competition to tally four goals in the league.

Albert Adomah was on target as Aston Villa ripped Burton Albion apart to record back-to-back away victories for the first time in over three years.

Goals from Keinan Davis, Albert Adomah, Robert Snograss and Josh Onomah sent out a message to the rest of the Championship that Villa are now a force to be feared.

Adomah scored his first goal in the first half and he struck again after the break to take his season’s tally to six while teenager Keinan Davis scored his second senior goal and on-loan Robert Snodgrass opened his Villa account.

Steve Bruce’s side, chasing a seventh Championship game without defeat and a third straight league win, led on 13 minutes when Ahmed Elmohamady delivered a superb cross from the right and Davis thundered home a header from five yards.

And it was 2-0 three minutes later as a fine, one-touch move ended when Snodgrass released Adomah and he found the bottom corner.

Villa struck again on 32 minutes when Snodgrass collected a weak header by Kyle McFadzean and saw his shot from the edge of the box deflect past Bywater.

Villa weren’t quite as dominant after the break but Adomah still added his second and Villa’s fourth, tapping in from a Scott Hogan cross after 71 minutes.

The closest Burton came was when James Chester cleared off the line for Villa from Scannell.
