Ghana defender Gideon Mensah saw red in Liefering's 2-2 draw with Hartberg in the Austrian second-tier league on Friday night.

The 19-year-old was shown his marching orders in the 86 minutes after a second bookable offence in the game at the PROfertil ARENA.

Mensah, who won the 2017 UEFA Youth League in Nyon, Switzerland with Red Bull Salzburg, went into the referee’s books on the 43rd minute mark following a bad challenge on an opponent.

The former West Africa Football Academy starlet went into another tackle four minutes before the end of regulation time and he was sent off.
