GFA in advanced talks with Willy Sagnol over Black Stars coaching role

The Ghana Football Association is reported to have signed a two-year deal with Willy Sagnol as Black Stars coach.

The Black Stars parted ways with Avram Grant after the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

Grant, who went to the final of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations with the Black Stars before they were edged by Ivory Coast on penalties could not replicate his feat in Gabon. Ghana placed fourth in the competition and having been under criticism for a string of what Ghanaians deemed poor performances, the former Chelsea coach resigned before his contract was due in a few days.
