Tom Strand was appointed to replace Godwin Attram, who was the player coach of the Gt. Olympics, but the latter vowed he wasn't going to work with the Swede.
Attram took away a core of the players of the club arguing he owed their economic rights, hence Gt. Olympics had to face Liberty Professionals with a weakened team on match day 12.
Attram has therefore been persuaded to accept the debuty coaching role and he has agreed to assist the former Medeama coach in their quest to help the 'Wonder Club' avoid relegation.
The former Black Stars attacker is a club legend at Olympics and he was the one who masterminded their qualification back to the Ghana Premier League last season by acting as a player cum coach and has also been financing the club.
