Declaring your support for a political party is not a smart move

Actress Yvonne Nelson has stated that, it will be best if celebrities do not openly declare their support for a political party as she thinks it is not a 'smart' thing to do.

She stressed that, though everyone has the right to do what they want, she believes doing politics publicly as a celebrity is not smart enough.

“I believe everyone has their right and everyone can do what they please. But I don’t think it is the smartest thing as an actor, as a musician. I don’t think it’s the smartest thing”, she told Accra-based Adom FM.

“But if you choose to come out, well that’s you. That’s your decision. But for me, I would rather just be a voice for my people” she added.

Though some people think her #Dumsormuststop campaign is political, Yvonne has clearly stated that, she only being the "voice of the voiceless" and seeking that, the current 'Dumsor' situation will be solved.
