Dwarfs set target to beat relegation

Every club in the Ghana Premier League has set a target ahead of the new season which resumes this weekend and Ebusua Dwarfs is no exception to that.

J.E Sarpong, head coach of the Cape Coast-based club has revealed that the target for the club is to remain in the premier league and not to win silverwares.

“We hope to remain in the league; the target is perharps to stay in the league and not to win trophies. Our work for this year is that we don’t go back to Division One,” the former Liberty Professionals boss said in an interview with TV3 Network.

However, winning silverware will be the utmost aim for the team next season should they remain in the top flight of the country's football.

“When we stay in the league, we can aim for silverware next season but for now the target is to stay in the League.” He added.

Ebusua Dwarfs will open their Ghana Premier League campaign against newly promoted side, Dreams Football Club at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Sunday.
