Kpando Hearts of Lions edged Dreams FC 1-0 to gazzump them at the top of the table in their race for promotion back to the Ghana Premier League.

The goal that separated the two sides was a well-struck free-kick from Anthony Annan in the 29th minute.

However, it was Dreams FC who enjoyed plenty of the ball possession, but they couldn't translate their dominance into goals.

Dreams FC are now two points behind Kpando Hearts of Lions, who are on 37 points in the zone III of the GN Division League

The match hit made the headlines days before kickoff when news broke out that Kpando Hearts of Lions fans were not happy with the fact that referee Maxwell Hanson had been appointed to officiate the game.

However, the Vice Chairman of the referees committee rubbished the reports that his committee had named Maxwell Hanson for the game.
