The flag bearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Dr Edward Mahama, has expressed disappointment in President John Mahama for pardoning the three Montie FM contemnors.

President John Mahama in consultation with the Council of State and in exercise of his constitutional powers under Article 72 of the Constitution, remitted the remaining prison sentence imposed on the Montie three Salifu Maase (alias Mugabe), Alistair Nelson and Ako Gunn.

Edward Mahama in a twitter post said he didn’t expect the President to free the three who insulted the leaders of the country.

"I am very disappointed in the president decision to endorse Muntiefm insults to our leaders, judges by releasing em,"he posted.

This means they spent 27 days in jail.
