Richard Kingson speaks about appointment as Black Stars goalkeeper

Richard Kingson is excited for being named the goalkeepers trainer of the senior national male football team of Ghana.

Kwesi Appiah's announced his backroom staff on Tuesday at the secretariat of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Appiah who worked with Kingson when he was the assistant Black Stars coach under Claude Le Roy and Milovan Rajavac has included the former Ghana shot-stopper in his technical team on his return as the coach of the Black Stars

“I am very happy, this means a lot to me, there are many former goalkeepers in the country and for you to be given the job as a goalkeepers Coach is a big privilege,” Richard Kinston  told the press.

“All I need to do now is to do my best for the team and make sure we get good and great goalkeepers for the Black Stars team.”

The former Blackpool goalie represented Ghana at two FIFA World Cups and three Cup of Nations appearances
