The former Ghana international joined Zamalek from English side, Nottingham Forest in 2008 when the club was chaired by Mamdouh Abbas but terminated his contract nine months later over unpaid salaries and reported the club to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

The Egyptian giants had earlier been instructed by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) to pay Agogo 807‚000 Euros which was the unpaid salaries of the Ghanaian during his time with club, but the five times champions of Africa after making part payment took a decision to seek redress from FIFA, yet the football governing body has upheld the decision of CAS.

Zamalek said that they received a letter from FIFA ordering them to pay $450,000, the amount of Agogo’s remaining wages.

It worth mentioning that Zamalek president Mortada Mansour previously said that he paid 250,000 Dollars of Agogo’s dues, attacking Abbas for being responsible for the transfer.
