You’d agree with us that most often dwarfism is caused by gene changes, and in many children, it's due to a random change in a child's gene. Albeit, dwarfism also can be inherited due to a genetic variant in one or both parents - with this said, this week’s episode of ‘The Real Talk Podcast’ hosted by Elizabeth Essuman and her panelists had internet sensation, Firdaus Iddrisu popularly known as Shatta Bandle, as guest - and everything about dwarfism, the blessings, curses, what it is and what it is not, all came to bare in a fashion that will bring you clarity after watching.
With his popularity cutting across the continent, the self acclaimed millionaire, repeatedly spoke about how grateful for who he is, “…people see me and think that I am sad, but how can I be sad when I am one of the happiest persons on Earth? I am always grateful to God for my height, well-being and so much more. Being a dwarf is not a curse; rather it’s a blessing because I am in a better space loved by my family, friends and fans alike”.
The happy-go-little man reiterated that he doesn’t get intimidated for no reason, “my confidence level will even make whoever talking to me, to treat me right”, he added.
The interesting conversation took different forms with many lessons learnt from Shatta Bandle - one of which was when he advised that everyone should learn to save as it’s a good thing ahead of days when the rains come down; then another one was his advice for people to learn how to be content and not be covetous in their doings.
