Liverpool manager visiting Vatican City for spiritual help?

Brendan Rodgers left England the night after Mario Balotelli’s goal lifted the Reds one up against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night.

The Anfield boss’ destination was Rome and he very well would not miss visiting the Vatican City, the central governing body of the Roman Catholic Church.

An ecstatic Liverpool fan snapped with him outside of the Eternal City.

Brendan, whose father is Catholic and mother, a protestant travelled for the Italian capital with girlfriend, Charlotte Hind, leaving assistant, Colin Pascoe to do the duties at the club.

It would later emerge that he is the holy city to further talks on the club’s interest for AS Roma’s Miralem Pjanic.

The Bosnia international has caught Brendan’s fancy and that of the scouts at Anfield.
