Black Stars maintain place for December

The Black Stars of Ghana are still ranked 9th in Africa and 53rd in the world, following the release of the December 2016 edition of the FIFA/Coca Cola World Rankings.

Avram Grant's team have struggled in 2016, with only two wins in eight games. They have failed to manage a single win in their last five games.

Last month, when the Rankings were announced, the team dropped from 45th to 53rd in the world, and from 5th to 9th in Africa.

Elsewhere, there were generally very little changes in the rankings across board for the December edition.

Argentina and Senegal retained their spots as the best teams in the world and in Africa respectively.
