Sports Statistician Thomas Freeman Yeboah has taken it upon himself to compile data on assist providers who are like the unsung heroes of the game as the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League unfolds
After matchday two assists providers efforts have gone unnoticed.
Below are the assist kings of the ongoing Ghana Premier League
It is a straight forward battle between Medeama’s Agyenim Boateng and Asante Kotoko’s Songne Yacouba who registered a hattrick of assists on matchday 1 against Dwarfs and matchday 2 against Legon Cities FC, respectively.
It should be noted that an assist is not recorded when a goal is scored from a direct freekick, penalty kick, direct corner kick or a blunder committed by an opponent.
