The upcoming film is the first full-length feature film about the character, following the 2016 "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" andthe 2017 "Justice League."

In "Aquaman," Arthur Curry, the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world just as his brother, Orm seeks to unite the seven kingdoms against the surface world, while also dealing with the villainous Black Manta.

The film also features Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Aquaman’s half-brother, Orm, and Nicole Kidman as their mom, Queen Atlanna.
