Soul star gives good performance at unofficial SXSW gig

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige gave a strong performance at an unofficial SXSW event yesterday, March 17, 2015.

She performed at the Samsung Supper Club where she "moved energetically at the show" wrote Mesfin Fekadu of the AP.

Mary J. Blige performed her new and classic hits at the event. She even rapped. "She moved like a pro, though there was water dripping from the covered ceiling on the venue's rooftop. She managed to maneuver in heels and an ab-revealing crop top" according to Mesfin Fekadu.

SXSW (pronounced South by South West) is a set of film, interactive, and music festivals and conferences held annually in Austin, Texas. It was founded in 1987.
