The lead prosecutor in the Al-Shabab bomb attack case in Uganda which claimed 76 lives in 2010 has been shot dead.
According to BBC, Joan Kagezi, who was the top Ugandan state prosecutor in the trial of the 13 accused men was targeted by gunmen on a motorcycle as she was on her way home.
The suicide bombing in Kampala in 2010 killed 76 people as they watched the football World Cup final.
Before her death, Kagezi was the senior principal state attorney and headed the directorate of public prosecution's anti-terrorism and war crimes division.
According to Kampala police spokesman Patrick Onyango, the killers trailed Kagezi on a motorcycle and shot her, she died on her way to the hospital.
Meanwhile, last week the United States warned Uganda of a possible suicide bomber trying to enter the country.
