Ghanaians are eager to hear your response – Bawumia tells Veep
The Vice Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur to officially respond to the claims he made during his public lecture weeks ago.
This was contained in a statement released by the office of Dr Bawumia today (Wednesday).
The statement indicated that even though Amissah-Arthur said at the manifesto launch of the NDC that they were still “studying the Lecture and will in due course respond comprehensively” the NPP attached what they described as 170 statements and claims made during the lecture.
They, therefore, believe the ‘help’ they have offered would enable the NDC respond in a short time to the lecture.
“We look forward to a timely response from government as has been promised to all these 170 statements” the statement concluded.
Vice President Amissah Arthur at the NDC manifesto launch said that he had been advised not to respond to Dr Bawumia at a lecture but rather do so on campaign platforms. He, therefore, said that he will take one of Bawumia’s ‘lies’ on every campaign platform he mounts and explain to electorates why it is a lie.
