Mahama campaigns in Northern Region

The president will visit the Eastern corridor parts of the region and some communities along the ECOWAS road including Zabzugu as part of the three-day campaign tour.

President John Dramani Mahama has on Sunday August 21, begun his re-election campaign tour in the Northern Region to canvass for votes during the December 2016 polls.

He will commission projects which were not due at the time of his ‘Accounting to the people's tour’ of the region.

The president and his entourage paid a courtesy call on the Overlords of the Nanumba and Dagomba Traditional Areas.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Ultimate Radio, the Northern Regional Communication Director of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), General Mohammed Amin, revealed that the campaign trail would make the first stop at Salaga to Yendi through to Kpandai and Bimbilla.

“We are starting Salaga North and Salaga South. We will sleep in Salaga then move to Kpandai, Wulensi, Bimbila then Yendi, then proceed to Zabzugu, Tatale and Saboba”, he said
