40-yr-old Jana Miles-Burnett and 31-yr-old William Burnett were riding together in a motorcycle on the way to their reception shortly after exchanging marital vows in a city park in Buckner, Illinois about 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The couple got married after few months of dating.

Speaking on her death, the bride's daughter 22-yr-old Sarah Smillie said her mum and her new step-dad knew they were meant to be together.

"There wasn't a time that I had seen her happier. If they were together, she was smiling," Smallie told CNN's Inside Edition.

After Jana and William were pronounced man and wife, the couple got on the groom's motorcycle and started a procession which was supposed to lead the family to the reception.

The crash occurred when a deer ran onto the road and into the newlyweds' lane, causing a crash that threw the bride to the ground.
