Dynamo Kiev coach Serhiy Rebrov believes his sides decision to defend their 1-0 lead rather than push for a second cost them a good result in Tuesdays Champions League encounter with Napoli.
Denys Garmash gave Dynamo the lead with a fine finish in the 26th minute to cap an impressive start, but the hosts then allowed Napoli back into the game as Arkadiusz Milik netted twice to deliver the Serie A side a 2-1 victory.
Rebrov feels the opener was a turning point in the game, admitting Kiev made a mistake in inviting pressure from Napoli, while he praised Maurizio Sarri's tactics.
"We tried to play compact and keep our structure but after we scored our guys probably tried to save the result and that was a mistake," Rebrov told reporters.
"I saw that [Maurizio] Sarri studied our team very well.
"Napoli knew how to play against us, they played very wide and made good crosses. They created spaces behind our defenders and used them effectively."
Kiev sit last in Group B following Tuesday's results, three points behind leaders Napoli, while trailing Besiktas and Benfica by one point.
