Ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game between Mauritius and Ghana on 4th June, 2016, the FA president of Mauritius has stated that his players are not greedy, since they take the little the FA put on their table after a win, adding that the Black Stars take $10,000, because the GFA has enough money.
“Our players are not greedy players are not greedy players, they don’t take money before playing for us and they don’t play for money as well, rather play with their hearts for the nation and for the supporters.
“People use to donate to the players when they play to their satisfaction and sometimes give them $200 to $500 if they win a match. Black Stars players taking $10, 000 is not surprise because GFA has more money,” Sohba Mohammed Ally Samir told Kumasi based radio station, Otec FM.
