The Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA) has appealed to the Management of TV3 to reconsider their decision to suspend their employee, Nana Aba Anamoah.

Nana Aba Anamoah’s suspension came after days of massive public backlash against her following her alleged involvement in an "online information and photo theft".

However, a statement signed by President of GIBA, Akwasi Agyemang said the Board and Management of the station should take a second look at their decision and also take into consideration the several appeals that have come from fellow media practitioners over the last couple of days for a reversal of the decision.

The Association further cautioned media houses to be circumspect in their reportage of Nana Aba's issues and avoid acts that will further heighten tensions between the two parties.

Nana Aba Anamoah’s suspension came after days of massive public backlash against her following her alleged involvement in an "online information and photo theft".

Nana Aba had been trending for photos she shared on twitter suggesting that she was at Old Trafford last Saturday to watch the “Red Devils” play Sunderland.

The picture however happened to belong to another person, who after seeing that he had been cropped out of the photograph subsequently released other photos to show that the photos belonged to him and not Nana Aba.

Many have said that the suspension and subsequent public notice was too much a harsh decision and are asking management to reconsider its sanction.
