Kyento Chief And Driver Shot Dead

Fifty-Eight year old Chief of Kyento at Nsawam Adoagyri in the Eastern region, Nana Kwame Mankata , has been shot dead by unknown assailants on Saturday night, Adomonline reports.

His driver, Nana Kwame said to be in his late forty’s was also involve in the incident but is not survive.

Confirming the news, Nsawam District Police Commander Chief Superintendent Akwasi Boadu Kankam said the police has started investigations into the assassination.

He added that their bodies have been deposited at the Kolebu - Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Meanwhile, security has beefed up in the town and the police has began a manhunt for the assailants.

Chief Supt Kankam added that there is no cause for alarm because the area is calm.
