Informant in the NPP 'secret account saga' is not credible- Kwaku Baako

" Have we forgotten that this same gentlemen is the same informant in the Prudential Secret Account Saga?

Editor of the New Crusading Guide is casting doubts on the informant in the NPP Ecobank secret account saga.

Kwaku Baako said Baah Acheamfour,  who was also an informant in a similar secret account saga involving the Prudential Bank a couple of years ago has a fishy credibility and a history of making financial accusation without substance.

The informant in this case, Baah Acheamfour, made a complaint with the Bureau of National Investigations for checks into allegations that the vice chairman of the NPP, Freddie Blay,  had opened a private account in the name of the NPP in which he was planning to divert party funds.

Speaking on this weekend's edition of the News File, the editor of the New Crusading guide said,

Kwaku Baako went on to warn the police, that a failure to do so will inundated them with a lot of similar  complains that the police may not be able to deal with.

This he adds will make the police lose consistency thereby making them look selective.

Mr. Baako stressed.

Mr. Baako then sought to emphasize that the financial management of the NPP  will not allow for two people to open an account without the knowledge of the party is not possible.

" Check the history of the NPP's financial management of accounts has always had four signatories. So the accusation that two individuals opened an account in the name of the NPP  is false. That account is not a new account. The account has been in existent for twelve years now. It has just been dormant."

According to Mr. Baako, the party's constitution, article 9(G) under the financial management structures demand the signatures of the treasurer, the chairman, the vice chairman and the general secretary before any withdrawal is made.

The editor of the New Crusading guide also described as false claims by Mr. Baah Acheamfour that the vice chairman of the NPP had withdrawn GHC 5.1 million  from the account for personal use was false. He revealed the only withdrawal that was made from the account was for the Talensi bye-elections, and that the remainder of the funds to the tune of GHC4.1 million have been invested in treasury bills that are not available to any individual in party heirachy.
