A seven-member jury found Yaw Anokye guilty after he confessed killing the two women in their 70s.
The judge, Justice Merley Afua Wood, while delivering her judgment, asked God to have mercy on the soul of the accused as he was about to face death.

It will be recalled that the two deceased persons, Mane Lena, 75, and 69-year-old Diop Nzanga, were kidnapped, murdered and buried in a shallow grave in 2015.
The bodies of the two were found after the Acting President of the Akwamu Traditional Council dispatched over 70 people to support the police in the search for the two when it became obvious that they had gone missing.
