I never smoked with Shatta Wale - Samini

Samini and Shatta Wale have been involved in lyrical war for quite some time now.

Samini

Dancehall artiste, Samini has debunked supposed claims by perceived rival, Shatta Wale that they once smoked marijuana.

Samini who was speaking on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review show on Saturday unequivocally denied smoking with the dancehall commando singer. According to him, defence stories told by Shatta Wale regarding their seeming ‘beef’ are all fabricated.

“When I was holding my tour in 2004, I went everywhere with him [Shatta Wale]. He was on the bill and that explains why there was a picture of him and me at a radio station of which some people interpreted it as we being friends back then. That was the first time we had any encounter,” he said.

Adding, “I heard him when I was going to feature on Obour’s track. But if you listen to an interview he granted on Adom FM, he said we used to be friends and he even smoked with me… I never smoked with him anywhere.”
