Ghana striker Jordan Ayew helps Swansea earn 3-2 victory

Jordan Ayew came off the bench to add bite to the Swansea City attack as they edged Burnley 3-2 in the Premier League on Saturday

Jordan Ayew played a role as Swansea City defeated Burnley 3-2 cushion their chances of avoiding relegation in the 2016-17 English Premier league.

The Ghanaian striker was introduced in the game in the 73rd minute to replace Luciano Narsingh. Ayew made his mark by coming close to scoring, but his shot was saved by the Bury goalkeeper.

However, the hero of the game was Fernando Llorente, whose  injury-time goal gave Swansea City a thrilling win over Burnley in controversial circumstances.

Llorente's thumping header gave the hosts an early lead but Burnley levelled as Andre Gray struck with a penalty, wrongly awarded by referee Anthony Taylor after the ball had hit the arm of Clarets striker Sam Vokes.

Swansea controlled the game in terms of possession and chances - hitting the woodwork three times - but fell behind in the second half as Gray scored with a sharp turn and finish.

Martin Olsson's powerful effort brought Swansea level and, deep into added time, Llorente rose majestically to head in and prompt ecstatic celebrations at the Liberty Stadium.
