Victor Smith, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom has refuted claims that he has left his post in London to return home unofficially to campaign in his constituency in Abuakwah North.
The High Commissioner, in an attempt to set the record straight, said he has been in Ghana for some days because he was on his annual leave.He also stressed that his absence has not affected his work in Ghana’s High Commission in the UK, as has been suggested.

And the claim that my absence affected work here is unfounded because I have a deputy who takes over anytime I am away, so everything is on course here.
"As we speak, I am back in London and back to my responsibilities,” Mr Smith told StarrFMonline.com from his base in London.
