Insurance package put in place for local players
Players in the Ghana Premier League will be covered by an insurance package for the next two seasons.
The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana, who have the interest of domestic players at heart have managed to establish an insurance package to cover the players in the Ghana Premier League for two seasons and the secretary of the association, Tony Baffoe announced the package on Wednesday during the launching of the topflight league in Ghana at the GFA secretariat.
According to Baffoe the package is for the next two football seasons and this will cover all unforeseen occurrences during the season to protect players. It would at the long run ensure that players who go on retirement are catered for.
