Inter Allies pipped West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) at the Tema sports stadium on Wednesday when the two sides met on Match Week 20 of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League (GPL).
Bullish attacker Frederick Boateng struck the winner in stoppage-time for the under-performing side to fire them to a crucial victory.
Frederick Boateng scored on the stroke if the final whistle to return Jimmy Cobblah's men to winning ways having lost their last fixture against Ashanti Gold at the Len Clay Stadium three days ago.
Inter Allies dominated proceedings from the onset but were unable to breakthrough the brilliant Razak Abalora who manned the post for the WAFA. Frederick Yamoah, Evans Mensah, Isaac Osae and Frederick Boateng all came close to breaking the deadlock but were denied by the woodwork or crisp defending from the Sogakope lads. Evans Mensah was the first to test the reflexes of Razak Abalora.
After beating off his marker on the right, he launched down a powerful cross, but his attempt went into the waiting arms of the youngster. It was all Allies as Enoch Adu long waiting free kick found Isaac Osae right foot, but his effort was too feeble to cause any havoc to Atakpo Patrion's boys.
At the other end, WAFA almost broke through courtesy of Martin Antwi, but Osei Kwame raced of his line to curtail the danger before Evans Mensah met FredrickYamoah's cross with a left shot and Razak Abalora parried away.
A few moments later, Fredrick Yamoah sent a long cross in, Isaac Osae out- jumped all men in the box, but he directed the ball too upright. The first half ended with neither scoring.
Inter Allies began from where the left off in the first half, with the combination of Evans Mensah and Frederick Yamoah being the nemesis of WAFA. However, the 2016 MTN FA Cup round of 16 finalists held on for the duration of the game.
The referees added five minutes, within the eleventh hour, Frederick Boateng thumped in the only goal of the afternoon to earn the Eleven Is To One their fifth win of the season.
